Terry Wdowiarz Martino Terry Martino was a graduate of Northeastern Illinois University where she majored in English and became certified for Secondary Education in Illinois. She was married to Joe for 24 years. Together they had three children: Jolene, Philip and Peter. She was actively involved in St. Alexis parish of Bensenville as a catechist, lector, Eucharistic Minister and as a member of the R.C.I.A. Ministry. She earned a Level III Certificate in the Joliet Diocese Pastoral Leadership program as well as a Certificate of Professional Ministry from Mundelein College of Chicago.

Soon thereafter, she went on to accept a teaching position at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School of Bensenville where she taught Eighth Grade, Religion and Preparation for Confirmation to adolescents. She died in 1997 at the age of 46 after a ten year battle with breast cancer.
